Funding / Guidelines

Standing Rules

IPC offers reimbursement of up to $750 annually for students who attend professional development experiences, such as conferences and career fairs, through the Professional Development Fund (PDF).    IPC is pulling from a set fund and the amount IPC is able to reimburse every semester depends on how many students apply each semester. IPC will reimburse each student to the highest percent possible.

 Who can Apply:

To qualify, you must be a current professional student and the experience must have occurred within the two terms prior to your application as a professional student. Students who have graduated are not eligible to apply for funding after graduation (even if the event occurred while in professional school). Law students receiving PILF funding are not eligible to apply for PDF funding for the same experience. Experiences for which you receive monetary compensation or school credit are not eligible for PDF funding.

 Application Process:

1.            The application

2.            The AP Compliance form (SUMBIT A NEW FORM EACH TIME)

3.            A one page explanation statement, and

4.            An itemized budged with original receipts. ***However, please do not include gas receipts. Traveling expenses by personal vehicle will be calculated using the state rate per mile. Please include a print out from Google Maps showing the route you drove.

The application process is a competitive one, thus allowing more meaningful allotments of money for experiences. Specific application instructions and eligibility criteria may be found on the PDF application. For additional details, please review the Standing Rules Updated 11/2016 before applying to prepare the most competitive application possible. Please put time and effort in your essay, as this part of the application can help differentiate yourself from the rest.
