Social: The Social Committee is the internal IPC committee charged with planning and carrying out a variety of social events for all professional students. The goal of these events is two-fold: First, to provide opportunities for students from all six professional colleges to interact with and get to know students outside their own programs; second, to bring IPC representatives together outside of meetings and official responsibilities to create a cohesive and effective organization. The committee plans to organize at least one large event per quarter, such as the annual Halloween Party in the fall, along with one to two smaller events per quarter. Some of the ideas under consideration by the committee include: ice skating/broomball, football game tailgate, inter-professional sports tournament, picnics, and diversity dinners. The members of the Social Committee meet the first Tuesday of every month, with the frequency and time of meeting varying depending on magnitude of the event currently being planned. Ideas for social events are not strictly limited to only those of committee members - we are open to the ideas and suggestions of all professional students. Please checkout our Social Events throughout the year.
